There’s been a lot of life changes for me lately so I want to take a moment to reintroduce/introduce myself to all of you! Most of you know me as Bailey Landry, but I gained a new name (+ husband) in Nov. so now my full name is - Bailey Landry Domangue (dough-main) I’m 23 years old and I was born and raised in southeastern Louisiana. I am passionate about my Catholic faith and all things beautiful in life, give me all the reasons to celebrate I have a big cajun family whom I love dearly. My dream growing up was to play softball for LSU & that dream became a reality from 2014-17! During my career w/ @lsusoftball we went to the Women’s College World Series 3x’s & I was named an All-American 2x’s - it was better than any dream I could've ever imagined for a lot more than just those titles! College was an incredible time for me, I learned A LOT about A LOT. I experienced, fell down, succeeded, loved, gave, opened, and became the woman I am now. There I met my very best friends, including my now husband. It is also the place where I absolutely fell in love with Jesus. After college, I was drafted to play professional softball & am now going into my 3rd season w/ @scrapyardfp. I have my very own line w/ @maruccisports that was released in August & I also travel around the country w/ @thepackageddeal as well as host my own softball clinics giving back to the game that has given me so much. Passionate people are my kinda people. I love to ask & answer questions& share life experiences. I am passionate about faith+sports and the intersection of the two especially dealing with identity and how they show us show much about the world. I'm somewhere between an ENFP & ENFJ, & my love language is quality time. I’m a believer in the old fashioned. I love young people, I love the outdoors, I'm witty and I've never met a corny joke I didn't appreciate, I LOVE sweets, I’ve really gotten into a more natural way of life, and my new found hobbies include gardening + home renovations (aka long romantic trips to hobby lobby) On my feed you'll find photos of my travel, thoughts, family, married adventures, friends, softball, motivations, and how I encounter Jesus in my life

Hi!! Sorry this week's topic is a little late. I was in a weird funk all week with a lot on my mind & kept forgetting to post‍♀️ ▫️ But anyways, this week's topic is 'Meat, Fruits, & Veggies!' Kind of long I know lol. Food has been a highly requested topic so I wanted to go ahead and tackle some of them. It's easier for me to break it down in categories & hopefully easier for y'all to keep up with. ▫️ First off, I want to explain that yes there are a lot more of each that I didn't get to do but only because they have to be fingerspelled. Things like raspberries, cauliflower, celery, lamb, etc all don't have an exact sign. Now I have seen people sign some of them before but when I double-checked, there was no sign for it so I assume either people make up their own or it's a local thing. So I won't share anything that I'm not 100% sure on or don't use myself. ▫️ Some of the words have different ways to sign like, turkey, pineapple, etc. Also, the signs I used for crawfish, lobster, and crab are my own personal preference for each. You can TOTALLY use one of those 3 signs for any of the 3 words. Some people like to sign lobster the way I signed crawfish and vice versus. Either way is acceptable! I just have these specific signs for each since I'm from Louisiana and love eating crawfish ▫️ Oh, and I forgot to clarify in the video but the sign I used for hot dog is a more 'updated' version but typically people still use the sign for sausage for hot dog. Either way is fine!! As for chicken, yes it's the same sign for bird. If I'm talking about chicken as food then I will use this sign but if I'm talking about chicken as an animal then I'll use this sign and then add a pecking motion from my hand. I hope that makes sense! Regardless, you can sign chicken the same as bird since some signs will have different meanings. It's just a matter of context and making sure you're signing it in a way that makes sense! ▫️ More food videos will be coming soon!!! This is just the beginning! ▫️ Have a great weekend and for those you in the hurricane's path, I'm praying for y'all & hope y'all stay safe.

Wow! I cannot believe 2019 is here! . I've decided that my word for this year is 'wholeheartedly'. Everything I do will be with all my heart. Growing my faith, traveling, training in the gym, getting married, growing my businesses, and being the best wife/family/friend I can be. . I feel such a strong need to become closer to God & to always do my best to put Him first before anything. Admittedly, I dont't always remember to do that & I want to do better. . I already have a lot of traveling planned for this year & I want to make the most out of every trip! I'll be at the Arnold Expo in Columbus, Ohio in March, going on our honeymoon in June, visiting my new friend Hannah in Oklahoma, and a lot of trips to San Antonio, Texas! . James & I have kept this a secret for over half a year but now we're ready to share the news and will gladly take any advice we can get! . He's enlisting in the United States Air Force after we get married. This has always been one of his biggest dreams & he actually almost enlisted in the Navy years ago but didn't because of several reasons. Now we feel like we're in the right season of life to go on this new journey & I couldn't be more proud of him! . As for training in the gym, growing my businesses, and being the best person I can be; that's something I'll work on every single day, wholeheartedly. . Colossians 3:23 "Whatever you do, work at it wholeheartedly as though you're doing it for the Lord and not merely for people." . Psalms 86:11 Teach me your ways, Lord, that I may walk in your truth; let me wholeheartedly revere in your name." . Happy New Year, y'all!! Let's make 2019 your year!! What's your word or resolutions you have? Share with me!

Hiya!! I think this topic is going to be a good one! The first thing I want to share is, if you want to learn more signs that can help you in this situation as a server, I highly recommend checking out a couple of my recent posts, "Signs for Meeting Deaf People" & "Baby Sign Language Part 1." Those two have more vocabulary that can help you further your conversation skills if you want to go all in. . I didn't share any food/drink signs because that will vary with each person & your best bet is to have them point to whatever they want or write down whatever they want. I actually added two sentences of my own that I think will be helpful. "Do you want paper to write with?" & "Show me what you want." Those two will be extremely helpful for both parties! . A couple of days ago, I asked y'all to share some sentences that would be helpful to learn in ASL & wow, y'all blew me away with the response!!! I did my best to summarize everything & to include stuff that would help from start to finish. . The first couple of videos are a few words that I knew would be helpful to include in this video, despite me showing it to y'all before. Just in case y'all say you've seen some of these words. . As always, don't forget your facial expressions!! I know sometimes I stop when I do the sign in slow motion but it still applies. You may notice that I mouth some sentences differently from what the closed captioning says. But that's because I'm mouthing the actual name of the sign rather than the sentence. I say this because I don't want you to read my lips and get confused lol. It still means the same thing in ASL. Plus, some of y'all have told me it helps to read my lips this way so I'll try to keep doing it! . I'm so excited to share this with y'all & to help y'all break through that language barrier. & let me just say that they will always be SO thankful that you're even trying so please don't stress if you forget something or mess up! I know I would be so happy to see my waiter make an effort. . My shirt was made by my sweet friend Holli, her page is @hmmade.lafayette! I got so many questions about it last time! . Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Hiya, happy Friday! This week's topic is a little different from what I usually do, but in a good way. . Adverbs! Does anyone remember what that means Adverbs are used to modify a verb, adjective, or another adverb. Well there are a few different types of Adverbs; frequency is one of them. Which brings us to our topic, 'Adverbs for Frequency!' (Or When..lol) I couldn't remember the word frequency at the time I was editing these videos so I put When instead of Frequency, my bad . Obviously these words are just a few examples of what I could think of/research & aren't limited to just adverbs frequency. #noenglishpoliceplease . They are all fairly simple but I know two of them may be confusing due to them looking similar to another sign. The A shape sign for Yesterday looks pretty similar to the sign for Adult, but there's a difference. Yesterday goes from chin to cheekbone while Adult goes from chin to your temple. . The second similarity is for Often! It looks pretty dang close to the sign for Thousand or Million huh? The trick is that Often is signed with a small gap from the bottom of your palm to about an inch forward. While Thousand doesn't move forward at all, and Million has the hand go from the bottom of the palm to the halfway mark of your hand. This is why I showed the sign for Often pretty clearly and repeatedly so you can see the difference! . Another tip I want to share is for the word Before. Did you notice I shared two different signs for Before but the meaning changed for each one? The first sign for Before is used when talking about something that happened prior like an event, conversation, etc. While the second sign is used for talking about something that happened in the past. It's a little hard to explain so check out these examples. . "I've never seen that before!" (Second sign) "Before you turn right, go straight." (First sign) "I think I've tried this before." (Second sign) "Do your homework before going outside first." (First sign) . These words will definitely help add more pizzazz to your ASL convos! More adverbs will be coming soon!
