Wczasy. Wczasy nie mogą być all inclusive ani last minute. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖#hel #wczasy #wczasynadmorzem #kolej #nietakiewagonysieodczepialo #sovietunion #prl #soviettimes #socialism #wakacje #retro #bieda #polwysephelski #pkpintercity #pkp #trainspotting
My first and last nights in #astana I had dinner at @epoha_astana which is a #ussr themed restaurant and bar. The walls are lined with pictures of the usual suspects as well as propaganda posters, spy gear, etc. Fortunately for tourists, the menu does not reflect the austerity of communist times. Here I am on stage in between nightly performances. Are you old enough to remember the USSR? credit @jetsettera

Today was a warm, sunny day. Lenin wasn't a fan.

How was it in USSR?
⠀
We still have this opportunity to ask a real people who was living that Soviet times.
⠀
So I asked my mom and grandma about that times and now we can read their truth
⠀
◾ Everybody looked pretty same way. I mean clothes and appearance. Schoolers had common form and they had to wear it every day to school
⠀
◾ Most of families had a special tableware and tea set for guests. In daily life they never used these tableware.
⠀
◾ People decorated a walls in the house with carpets. So carpet wasn't on a floor, but on the wall.
⠀
◾ Grandma told me that young people after university couldn't decide where they will work. Government gave them kind of "job placement" and they necessary should go to that place and work at least 2 or more years
⠀
◾ So my grandma was raised in Nizhniy Novgorod, it's not far away from Moscow, but she have got a job placement go to Siberia. That's how I was raised in one of the coldest places in Russia ❄
⠀
I think what make Russia so interesting - it's that we can freely travel and even live for some time in these country, but only about 30 years ago it was totally close country ❌
⠀
So let's travel to Russia and learn a beautiful Russian language with me in a logical way.
⠀
❗Course for travelers coming soon ❗
⠀
Actually I have more stories about that Soviet times, would you like to read more?

this picture well represents an aspect of the past Russian soviet society. it was taken in 1987 in then Leningrad on the bank of river Neva (the building you can perceive in the far background is Hermitage). while in the west we were all crazy for fashion and money (yuppies time) in the soviet union women were still sewing home made dresses and social distinction was despised. the picture also gives a hint of Russian (not soviet but russian) sentiment of motherhood which is full of tenderness, affection and care. (I guess, this is my impression, more than in western Europe )
