What is a Spoonie? A Spoonie is a term we use in the chronic illness community referring to those with a limited amount of daily “spoons.” Spoons represent energy, and say we get 12 spoons per day. Some activities, such as showering or cooking can take a few spoons. We limit our activities to prevent being spoonless the next day. To my fellow Spoonies, I hope that today you relax, rest and replenish your spoons for this coming week.
