But it's something that needs to be addressed all the same and yes - we all poop, it's nothing special.⠀ ⠀ Many people when dieting, especially in low carb and flexible style diets, experience some constipation. It's nothing to be embarrassed about - you're just poopin less or it's more difficult to poop. Why? Well usually because you're not getting enough fibre. ⠀ ⠀ Fibre is important - for plenty of reasons like lowering cholesterol, controlling blood sugar, helping you lose weight and it might even help you live longer. It also helps you to poop, both more easily and more regularly - which is great. Why are all these foods good for helping constipation? Because they are high in fibre!⠀ ⠀ And a side note - every body is different. While we all do in fact poop, we don't all poop the same. Always remember to listen to your body and go with what feels best for you. Me personally, I'm a 2 poops a day kinda guy, pretty much on clockwork too. You, well maybe you're once a day in the evenings, or in the mornings. Everyone's different. I've seen some "coaches" claiming that if you're not pooping within 30 mins of waking up then something is wrong - nonsense - everyone is different so that rule can't be applied to everyone. Fresh or Frozen⠀ ⠀ ⚡Follow @ryanc_fit⚡⁣⁣⁣⁣⠀ ⠀ When it comes to fruit and veg we’re always taught that fresh is best, but is there any advantage to using fresh over frozen?⠀ ⠀ Well in short - not really. A 2 year study comparing the nutrient and vitamin values of fresh, fresh stored and frozen produce showed no significant difference between them. In the cases where a significant difference was found - frozen beat fresh stored more often that fresh stored beat frozen.⠀ ⠀ Frozen fruits and veg are minimally processed - typically only under going a blanching process in order to inactivate enzymes that may cause the flavour or colour to spoil. Frozen fruit and veg tends to hold its nutritional value better than fresh stored counterparts.⠀ ⠀ If anything the method of cooking/preparing your fruit/veg has a greater impact on its nutritional value than the storage method.⠀ ⠀ So which is best? Well the best type of fruit or veg is the one that makes it easier for you to include in your diet.
