NOSE: Light, calm, and pleasing. Green apples mostly with hint of oranges and lemons. Touch of vanilla and white chocolate. A wee sweet with pleasant herbs hiding in the background. . PALATE: Pears, bananas, and passion fruit. Herbed, ginger-twinged sourdough. White pepper and oak spices. Let the sip linger for maximum reward. . FINISH: Candied fruits and oak that leaves the mouth salivating for the next sip. The finish quickly dissipates, and the next sip comes all to quickly unless the dram lingered on the palate. . CONCLUSION: This was not my usual whisky and that needs to change. Every dram was better than the previous dram. I would pick up the dram and simply nose it in a Cradle Glass and be happy and calm—so relaxing. I would definitely buy an independent bottler’s Macduff again.
