I know it's late, but here's my image from Possum Kingdom Lake firework show. It was my first time getting out there to see the show, and I must say it did not disappoint!

This place looks pretty unrealistic. Unfortunately it is a private property and noone is allowed in but with proper development it could have become a texan Blue Lagoon.

What’s your first reaction when you see this building? An old mission? An Alamo wanna be?
I was thrilled to find this abandoned school (yep, it was a school) in the small community of Booth, since my information about its location was so vague.
Freeman Irby Booth donated three acres to the community named for him to erect a new school in 1912. He patterned the one-room stuccoed brick building after San Antonio’s San Jose Mission.
In 1928 the building was enlarged with the addition of three new classrooms and a ‘teacher age.’ The old part was converted into an auditorium.
Booth School closed around 1947 and although it hurts to see it in such disrepair, it’s encouraging that someone has taken the time recently to brace the front wall of the auditorium. Fingers crossed that someone comes to its rescue!
