@southllanoriverstatepark Part II.. . Tried to capture the coolness of the overpass. People used to start their float at/under the bridge. However, after a flood the bridge was compromised and they added large rocks to discourage campers from floating/playing under the bridge.. . There’s a strong current here so as always, be mindful of your littles! For older kids it’s super fun to put on some goggles and explore under the current. That was always one of my favorite things to do! Lots of underwater wildlife to explore!. . Essentials to bring to #southllanoriverstatepark are: watershoes, floaties, tubes for floating, goggles, kayak, buckets and a net! Lots of little fish and frogs to catch. . More pics to come! After spending the winter season in the mountains my brain is finally starting to shift to those summer vibes ☀️ . I’m getting a list together of some of my favorite camping spots throughout Texas and Arkansas that I’ve hit up in the past to share with you guys. One of my favorites is McKinney Falls located right in South Austin (so all you outdoorsey Austinites can hit an easy camping weekend and make it back home in time to meal prep Sunday evening, right? ) The best way to get a spot at McKinney, and surrounding spots like Perdernales Falls, is to book in advance, these sites fill up quick so if you’re trying to plan a getaway this summer now is the time to book!
