At the babies' midnight feeding (yes, I get up for this), I noticed someone paying some attention to CK. The babies kennel is covered by a blanket most of the time. They are still sleeping a good chunk of the day, and if they see me, they'll think it's dinner time and will start screaming, even if they just ate an hour ago. So, while the kennel was uncovered, a couple of them were looking around, and Shaggy here noticed CK. I love how curious he was! And then CK wanders off, Shaggy starts to climb and then randomly falls (this happens literally all the time). These babies are growing so fast and are becoming more and more aware of the world's around them! Yesterday I put the babies in the pack n play for the first time. I also put in a couple of cat toys that were purchased off of our Amazon wishlist. For the first 20-30 minutes, they just cried, crawled around, and climbed the sides towards me. But then suddenly, someone started playing! In not sure if this is Shaggy or Fred, but people, believe me when I say we are about to get to the fun stuff! Yesterday evening we put the babies in the pack n play after their dinner. Most climbed on each other, some showed a little interest in the toys, and they feel also all cute and cuddled up. Except for Daphne and Pepper. Those two would climb up the side of the pack n play, we'd put them back on the bottom. They'd climb up again, we would put them back on the bottom. Over and over until we decided to put them on the large cat tower to see what they did. We got some more playing! In case you've ever wondered what 8 baby raccoons looks like... Today we upgraded our original four (the #mysteryincgang) to a larger carrier. The new four (#spicecoons) were already in a larger carrier, but we gave it a quick clean. Everybody is now back in the nursery to sleep some more before dinner time.
