I love the curiosity of animals. A few weeks ago, this guy and his friends were in a pasture close to where I live. As I approached them, they stared at me and my camera. I thought they were maybe a little afraid so I inched closer slowly, but as I did he came to meet me. Soon we were as close to each other as the fence dividing us would allow. Earlier today a seal showed up in the sea by my mum's summer house. It kept its distance but very clearly looked at us, diving and bobbing up again to look some more. We stared back, obviously. This curiosity is so uniting, and often it's what sparks creativity. Something to nourish in life.
