Azaan’s little reading nook ⁣ ⁣ Since many of you wanted to see Azaan’s reading corner - here it is. We’ve set this little corner up in the lounge because that’s where we spent most of our time. It’s also the most colourful corner of our house. Azaan absolutely loves spending time here, sitting on the couch,⁣ flipping through books. I’ve also kept two of his puzzle sets, just so if he’s done with books he can catch a break by sorting puzzle boards and then get back to the books if he wishes so. ⁣ ⁣ Keeping books in an accessible location encourages to develop reading habits in kids. And of course, mama has to join in, reading together is such a great way of bonding. Currently, we’re reading ‘Goldilocks and the three bears’ over and over again - it’s our new favourite. ⁣ ⁣ Also, this plant is a type of Dracaena but we’ve named him Spikey. || • No one told me that a huge part of motherhood is counting down to bedtime only to miss them when they are in bed. I have a nightly battle with myself on whether or not I should wake her up to snuggle her a little longer before she's not so little... I shared the app with Jordan so, when he's away he can join us for story time before bed. I've even sent him a quick kiss & "hi babe I love you" for him to check when he gets off work. The Lollipop Baby Camera starts recording after sensing a crossing detection & the videos stay on your app until you delete them. Technology can be a double edged sword but when it comes to togetherness & easing those mom anxieties I am all for it.
