Congratulations to Larissa Dixon, Year 12 and Georgia Gray, Year 11 for being selected for the VCE Season of Excellence Top Designs 2019! This is a prestigious opportunity where only 8 Textiles students from across the state are selected as a representative sample of the most outstanding VCE students from the year, for the benefit of future VCE students and teachers.
Both Georgia and Larissa had their Textile garments selected from VCE Units 3/4 Product Design and Technology .
Georgia designed a quirky, hands-free festival jumpsuit with matching fused plastic bag fabric hooded rain jacket.
Larissa developed a beach backpack that converts to a beach chair and a child’s wearable towel.
We are so proud of both Georgia and Larissa’s hard work and dedication and creating such inspiring garments!

The annual exhibition of the VCAA VCE Season of Excellence for Top Designs 2019 opened on Friday night at the Melbourne Museum. Top Designs celebrates the innovation and creative problem-solving of Victoria’s youngest designers, presenting outstanding work produced by VCE students from 2018. Larissa Dixon and Georgia Gray from our Product Design and Technology class of 2018 were selected to display their products and developmental folios amongst six others as the top works in Victoria for this subject. It was a privilege and a proud occasion to be there with our graduates and their families to see the opening of the exhibition and their works professionally displayed. Congratulations to Larissa and Georgia for their dedication and hard work to their creations.
The exhibition runs from 30th March to 14th of July at the Melbourne Museum.
