Today is quite busy for me. I'll be speaking on 2 High Level panels at the African Development Bank's Annual Meetings in India. The first will be sharing my thoughts on transforming Africa's burgeoning Agriculture Sector into a lucrative business. Alhaji Aliko Dangote will also be on this panel as he likely shares his bold plans for rice and tomato paste production and processing, and sugar and fertilizer manufacturing. On the second panel, I'll be sharing my thoughts on how to engage Africa's' youths in a sector that they typically view as poverty-laden and 'un-cool'. Yup...its been a passion of mine to change the perception of careers in agriculture to one that young people aspire to. Africa has an average age of farmers of 60 years old. When these folks peg off, who's going to farm the food we need to stay alive? Excited to share my views and hear from others today!
