When you had to fly with Mi-8, but due the weather conditions it was replaced by Il-18 and you happy as a kid because this is the plane from your childhood *** Когда должен был лететь на Ми-8, но из-за погоды тип поменяли на Ил-18 и ты рад как ребёнок, потому что это самолёт из твоего детства и есть.
My kind of Friday: 1925 Grand Prix Bugatti to the airfield, 1930 Gipsy Moth to @silverstoneclassic. Lunch at @sohofarmhouse was the casualty! Emotional to bring two old family relics together for the first time...Big thanks to Derek Hitchman and Ben Cox, the best restorers in their fields. #supercars #artdeco #vintageplanes #gipsymoth #1925 #1930 #vintagestyle #bugatti #grandprix #type35 #classicdriver #justflyit
Today was my first time flying the taildragger and it was such an incredible experience! This is a 1939 Piper Cub, there’s only ten hours on the motor and it is in excellent condition. I can’t wait for all the memories that will be made going low and slow to build up flight time!! .

Your help needed! A heavy lead bomber, inter-war or #WW2 found on the #thames #foreshore. But what is it? I’m not sure if the bent wing tip is damage or intentional (it’s pliable and not obviously hinged on the model). Best guesses so far are Whitley or B52, either a toy or used to help civilians spot enemy craft. Much help already given on Facebook at the River Thames Mudlarking Finds Page. Thank you aircraft spotters! I am very happy with this as, in my teenage years, I used to fly light aircraft. I really enjoyed it but I was rubbish at navigation - managing to get lost on my first solo - a circuit round the airfield- which is quite a feat. I then got lost on my first solo cross country and ended up flying directly over Upper Heywood US aircraft base. I was being guided on radar by the kind American air traffic controller and I can barely speak of my mortification as I looked out the window realised I’d illegally flown into military air space, and there were a collection of F16 bombers lined up on the runway beneath me. A few days later the airy traffic controller was featured in the local oxford paper. My flying school put it up on the wall - the equivalent of the mudlarks muddy walk of cut-off-by-the-tide shame. He was commended for his ‘ helping hand for lost pilot’. Fortunately, the journalist was not motivated enough to track me down. It would have been truly embarrassing if he’d discovered I was a vague 17 year old schoolgirl who liked to fly barefoot while simultaneously tapping my finger on he throttle and pretending I was Chuck Yeager in the Right Stuff...#mudlark #mudlarking #thames #riverthames #thamesriver #planespotting #vintageplanes #historicplanes #aircraft #whitley #aircraftspotting #airplanespotting #leadtoys #lostandfound #worldwar2 #imperialwarmuseum #thamesestuary #leadtoys #brokentoys #handful #found #thamesandfield #riverfinds #beachcombing
