Last weeks theme explained.
Expectations - is it wrong to have them?
Something I’ve been asking myself for the last couple of weeks.
When we expect we already set a certain standard we need to live or practice by in order to attain “success.”
What if we remove all that we expect and see where the process takes us?
Surely getting rid of having a need for things play out a certain way takes so much pressure off of us?
We don’t have to perform, we don’t expect others to either.
Instead living from a place where things can come and go naturally, without hanging on and trying to control/manipulate.
If I’m honest this is one of the biggest thing in life I struggle with at the moment, especially with myself.
I think we all expect too much from ourselves.
But the first step in changing is shining the awareness on your own habitual thinking right?
#Itsajourney
I also have no idea how to end this post, so here’s a video of a mini pigeon flow that has nothing to do with expectations
Don't let the Body do what the Soul does best..

Hellooo month of May
My goal for this month is simple, yet complicated all at once. Being as present as I can be. Looking at each second, of each minute, of each day as a new beginning.
Looking at each moment as an unfolding of new opportunities. Looking at life with excitement, with love and no expectations. And if I forget this throughout the month, to be gentle with my thoughts, feelings, and self. Wish me luck ❤️
No coffee & no funny stuff this time This frontal plane lunge transition felt so perfect to me today that I decided to practice the flow pretty much as presented.

If you’re not familiar with @jenn_pilotti, who created this movement for us for Day 6 of our collective #sneakystrengthyoga challenge, I highly recommend following and learning from her! She is exceedingly brilliant, but also very humble about how brilliant she is - which is one of my favorite qualities to find in someone!
. . .
Fun fact: did you know that Jenn was the very first person I asked to be a special guest teacher in my online class library? I think that might have been 2-3 years ago now…?
. . .
I’m honored to get to collaborate with and learn from Jenn. I hope you’re all appreciating this transition move she’s highlighted for us today, PLUS the upper body loading we’re getting to do here, which, I don’t know - just might come in handy for what I’ll be presenting tomorrow on Day 7!
. . .

Pasasana is a great pose that stretches the spine. It relieves tension in the upper back and shoulders. The hips and ankles are strengthened thanks to the squatting position of the legs. It also improves digestion and elimination, and increases blood circulation. I personally love twists, I feel they bring energy to the body as they bring mobility to the spine and back muscles. Thank you @alicemaisetti for such a cool shot! #pasasana #balance
