There is so much natural beauty in this country it’s really quite special (swipe along) I didn’t even get to see half of it but this is a little insight into a few must do things! Someone a little while ago described it to me as the jewel in the crown of the Middle East. I can now see why ✨ . . 1) WADI BANI KHALID - these gorgeous natural canyons full of spring water are the the shade of emeralds. I have to admit this was probably the highlight of my year going there! . 2) NIZWA FORT - if you’re looking for some history then visit the old capital of Nizwa. The fort is so impressive and illustrates the traditional style of old Omani architecture. . 3) BINHAM SINKHOLE - a pretty natural sinkhole near the coast where you can swim. It’s filled with those little fish that nibble at your toes so your feet will come out looking ten years younger . 4) WAHIBA SANDS - I’ve already banged on about this place in a previous post but it’s the quietest and most serene place I’ve visited in a while. . 5) TURTLE BEACH - a reserve that protects the turtles and their hatchlings. With a guide you can learn how they protect them, help out and see them in their natural habitat. Truly wonderful. . 6) GRAND MOSQUE MUSCAT - One of the main things you should do when visiting Muscat as well as the souks and old town. Nasz plan wydawał się bajecznie prosty. Jedziemy do wioski Bidiyah, która jest wrotami do pustyni Wahiba Sands (często nazywana jest także Sharqiya Sands). Później spuszczamy trochę powietrza z opon (niezbędna czynność, aby ułatwić jazdę i zminimalizować szansę zakopania się w piachu) i jedziemy przed siebie hen daleko. W dogodnym miejscu znajdujemy przyjemny, odludny zakątek pod najpiękniejszą wydmą na pustyni i rozbijamy namiot.
