A lot of Christians talk about waiting on God and it’s something I talk about a lot on here too, but I had never actually heard it defined until today in a sermon by @drtonyevans. He said, “Waiting on God is refusing to go outside of God to resolve your issues.” Going outside God is what we do when we tell ourselves He’s taking too long and decide to just figure it out or make things happen on our own. The problem is, we’ll never receive God’s best apart from Him and when we try to, we actually end up delaying His intervention. I was encouraged though by another line in this sermon where he said, “One reason God has you wait is because He’s doing something much bigger than just you.” Tag someone who will also be encouraged by this!

P.S. I love listening to sermons on my commute because it’s 45 minutes which is literally the perfect amount of time. Drop any you love down in the comments so I can check them out!
The Lord said to Gideon, “You have too many men. I cannot deliver Midian into their hands, or Israel would boast against me, ‘My own strength has saved me.’ (Judges 7:2)

God is in the business of increasing your faith—your trust—in Him as God. He wants you to have peace in your life, and He knows that peace is coupled with faith.
—
The same positions that make you feel uncomfortable, are the exact positions God delights in because it is through these that He is able to show Himself to you as God and increase your faith, if you’re willing.
—
He wants you to see Him; He wants you to know it IS Him; He wants you to know so that you can trust Him in all things and in all things going forward.
—
Instead of stressing when your “crazy” seems too big, remember God. Remember Gideon (the verse above) where God saw that it was better for Gideon and Israel to be uncomfortable—to not have such a great army for battle—so that they could see God give them victory, Himself, rather than them mistake the victory as something they achieved on their own.
—
Listen, friends: you’re not going to see God and find your faith in Him in the scenarios you can control, or think you can control—you’ll see God when you choose to believe in Him through the ones you know that you can’t.

If you want to be able to relate to someone in this, just watch my stories. You’ll hear me talk about the these things from time-to-time and you’ll realize you’re not alone.
It’s coming, trust the process .
.
As hard as it seems, trust the process. God and the universe are bringing you what you desire right now. Don’t slow it down with doubt. Continue to affirm and decree your abundance. IT IS YOUR BIRTHRIGHT TO BE PROSPEROUS! . .

You will BREAK THROUGH if you don't break down. The time between the prayer and when the blessing arrives is when we stand in faith as we wait for the victory.

And to stay away from what broke you, you must stay near to the One who saved you.
Because the moment we start wandering, is the moment our foundation will start trembling, and before we know it, we will be right back to the ground, shattered and hurting.
It can be so easy to want to entertain the thoughts of what or who we once knew. To who or what once worked. To forget how bad things were back then and think about doing life on our own terms again. To even think, that it, or that person, or doing what WE want rather than what God wants, will solve our problems or fill the void of what we may be feeling.
But it won’t. It’s a lie. And you gotta play the tape and remind yourself of the truth. Jesus is the void and who we are lacking in when those feelings set in again. And if it broke you before, it WILL break you again, and longing for it or them means your spirit is really in need of more of HIM.
So go to HIM, friend. Stay near to HIM. Because you’re free now, and going back is not anywhere you want to be again.❤️
