As #Libya is once again, on the verge of descending into a civil war, I decided to take a look in my archives from the days back in 2011 when the Libyan people were united in the fight against dictatorship and seeking social changes that back in those days, everyone, believed it would take the country into a better reality. As violent as it was, the Libyan revolution was a beautiful moment in history. A pair of B-24 Liberators from the 5th Air Force are about to cross over the bowing curvature of northern New Guinea for a strike on Boram airstrip in Wewak. They are not the first to arrive as smoke and dust from a blast minutes earlier rises skyward on the airstrip below.
