Finally the next Bond post and with the 50 years celebration going on at the moment in Switzerland, it has to be 'On her Majestys Secret Service', the 6th Bond movie from 1969 with one-time Bond actor George Lazenby. First of all I would like to thank @jb007canada for his outstanding feed of the whole celebration, gives you the feeling you also participate this marvelous event!! Oh how I wish I could have joined the show. Thankfully this movie nowadays is a true Bond classic and a big fan favorite, getting all the praise it deserves. Bond getting married and his wife getting killed is something special in the whole franchise. And newcomer George Lazenby did a good job back then, I liked his performance. His facial expressions and looks in the whole movie are really worthy to mention. And his physical action presence was outstanding, great fights. In the german version, they gave George the same german voice as Connery to give audiences more comfort, it is still the same agent, same franchise. The title sequence also proves that. Although it is written that he and Diana Rigg didn't get along that good, the chemistry functions. OHMSS has truly outstanding locations, creating a fascinating atmosphere. The ski chase still stands out, for me one of the best if not the best ski action sequence done in movie history. Great work from Willy Bogner. And Telly Savalas is still the best Blofeld for me, being the only Ernst Stavro being also a physical competition to 007!
