Cheers to Sicily! Our first day at our press trip found us on the wine road visiting 3 wineries! Here at The Feudo di Disisa , in the province of Palermo , at an altitude of 400-500 meters above sea level; within the DOC Alcamo and Monreale. The winery covers 400 hectares and since 1970 the Di Lorenzo family, in collaboration with the Regional Institute of Wines and Oils of Sicily, have carried out a wide spectrum experimentation to verify the adaptation to the Sicilian soil and climate of the most important national and international vines! We tried many different grape varieties like grillo, cattarrato, insolia,  nero d' Avola! The highlight was: perriccone variety! I loved it! TGIF!! After work today, you can bet I’m opening this bottle of rosé! One of my all time favorite producers in Paso Robles is @dennervineyards. I recently went to their Rosé release party and it was so good with some shrimp tacos. The tacos were so delicious, that I forgot to take a picture of them! Anyways, this 2018 Rosé is a blend of 4 varietals: 40% Cinsaut, 36% Grenache, 15% Carignan, and 9% Mourvèdre. It’s so bright and refreshing with notes of honeysuckle, rose water, and white nectarines. On the palate, I get blood orange and ripe peaches. The acidity isn’t too high and there’s a slight creamy mineral finish. Such an explosion of flavors and sensations! I love it! ❤️ . .
