Day 135 7/30/19 We’ve officially made it to New Hampshire, and I am feeling so. freaking. pumped.!!!!! I’ve been seeing others’ pictures of this spot for soooo long, and I must say, it feels pretty crazy to be here. The trail angel whose yard we slept in last night offered to bring me my pack when we got to Hanover, so I was able to hike one more day without my pack. The abscess is still large and still hurting. I’m not gonna lie, I’m feeling a little discouraged today about it. I guess if it’s not better tomorrow maybe I’ll go to the doctor again. Ugh. Hanover is such a cool town. It’s home of Dartmouth College, so it’s pretty bougie but oddly enough still hiker friendly. We got into the school’s cafeteria for lunch, and can I just say, I felt like I died and went to heaven. so. much. food. We’re staying in town tonight and then hitting the New Hampshire trail tomorrow (hopefully ).

Day 134 7/29/19 Well, I woke up this morning with still a painful abscess, so the incredible @themissjanet helped slackpack us! The terrain was much nicer today than yesterday (still tired from that, lol) and halfway through the day, we chilled at a place called The Back Porch which had snacks GALORE! It was wonderful. Now we’re staying at a trail angel’s house tonight! This place is amazing. They allow AT hikers to camp in their yard for free or sleep in a big barn with beds. The best part though, they live right next to a giant river that is perfect for swimming! As soon as we got here, we went for a swim. Blouse even jumped off the bridge. I was not brave enough!
