Tag a friend! This proverb speaks to the fact that a true friend provides you with wise, faithful counsel that is in your best interest (not their own) and refreshes your soul, especially when you find yourself in a place where you have no idea what to do or how to cope. Have these kinds of friends and be this kind of friend!
His love is the ultimate picture of sacrificial, unconditional, selfless love. We are constantly bombarded with false views of love in our society - that it should be self-serving, romantic, or picture perfect. Jesus' love actually has painful images associated with it, as He died a brutal death on the cross out of love for all people and to take on their punishment. His love is not self-serving but entirely sacrificial. Agape love describes His selfless love for us, and we are called to selflessly love others. It isn't about how others love us, it's how we love them.
Good morning! ☀️ "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
His mercies never come to an end;
They are new every morning;
Great is your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23

The Hebrew word for "mercies" is fascinating... Here it is "racham" which means tender love. It refers to the perfect care that a mother's body naturally gives to her unborn baby.
.
God cares for us that way... We are totally dependent on Him, and He, by nature, gives us all that we need.
.
Here's the cool thing... For a baby, it's going to be born at some point and have to live on it's own. Not us. His mercies never come to an end. We get to forever live in total dependence on Him.
.
On top of that, his mercies are new every morning. No matter how your yesterday was, He wants to show mercy to you today. The best place to find His mercies is in the Bible. Take some time today to read your Bible and enjoy the mercies of God... You might just be surprised how He provides for you through His Word!

At times, we struggle to believe this or wrap our minds around it. It's hard to see past our suffering when we're in the midst of it; even when we do, it's impossible to fully grasp how much joy, peace, and fulfillment we will have one day in heaven. When we look toward better days here on earth, our expectations are low because we know that we can't have perfect joy or complete contentment on this side of heaven. We can take heart and hold on to the promise God has for us as His people, that we will one day soon have perfect joy that infinitely overcomes any suffering we once endured.
