.beauty is in everyone .everyone is beautiful . .Being different is beautiful. #model @tamara.roeske a very impressive young woman with down syndrome - who is full of live , happiness and enthusiasm. From acting in movies to modelling and playing in an orchestra , she does it all. A beautiful person in and out , who is open minded and kindly to everyone. Which impressed me a lot and reminded me how fast we judge people in a glance and categorize them without giving ourselfes time to get to know them . Tamara does not do any of that . She accepts you as you are. #makeup @yvonnewengler #photography #fraukefischer #worlddownsyndromeday2019

That’s my dad. He is the best dad ever!! Here we were being silly at my birthday dinner while my brother @austin.aronsson tried to take a pic of us. My dad is my best friend. He is my road trip partner to and from college in Cape Cod. He is my biggest fan. He is my favorite hug He is my favorite person to drive along the beach with to people watch in the summer at the Jersey Shore. He is my best dinner date... and we LOVE to go out to eat. He is my favorite biking ♀️ partner. He takes me to see the summer fireworks at the beach even if it means we have to run out the door at the last minute to catch them. We love to go to concerts.. I think his favorite was when we saw @justinbieber (right Dad?!?) He always takes me to @dairyqueen for my favorite chocolate fudge sundae. He HATES peanut butter ... and I like to offer it to him as a silly joke (don’t worry... he isn’t allergic!) He encourages me constantly. He supports me always. And he will forever be my best friend. I am so so grateful that he is MY dad.
MARCH 21.... 2 days ago...World Down Syndrome Day & Grace’s first candidly kind anniversary. WHAT A DAY! This candidly kind journey just keeps opening doors and it is all PURE LOVE! Grace has found her voice, her purpose! She has found her PEOPLE! What an amazing day that included her new design release which is a HIT (“sunshine and blue skies”) She had her most online sales in one day EVER... (Y’all go check it out. SO CUTE!) We are grateful for all of you who love Grace and her shirts & designs:) During all that excitement Grace was practicing her speech for the Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta (7 minutes long and her first self advocacy speech ) while also getting glam for the night because y’all know getting glam is her jam! She was one of the keynote speakers at @dsaatl ‘s adult advocacy fundraiser in the gorgeous penthouse offices of Greenberg Traurig in Buckhead Atlanta along with 2 other self advocates. To say proud mom is a massive understatement! She soaked up all the energy in that room with amazing poise and GRACE! She made everyone laugh (a lot) and she made me cry (happy tears) She loved every minute and can’t wait to do it again! It was about her life, her business and advocacy for the Down syndrome community as a whole (can you say END LAW SYNDROME!!) The first picture is Grace with Bradley Carlisle. They are DSAA’s Buddies of the Year. Bradley spoke too and did an amazing job!! Swipe to see a few pictures (and a dance video) of a night to remember for Grace and everyone!! We have come so far on the acceptance and inclusion front in our country! We have more to do and with all these movers and shakers, it’s gonna keep getting better and better!❤️❤️❤️

Meet Marcus -
He’s the handsome man of Pi Baby Boutique! Marcus makes the days a little bit brighter when he’s doing the pricing ....
A sweet little post from our friend @chasecandace: “Today is World Down Syndrome Day and I want to give a shout out to a local retailer today who embraces Inclusion. Heather Weavers, who owns Pi Baby Boutique, has such a big heart and welcomes inclusion in her business. Over six months ago, I was struggling to find a place for my dear friend Marcus to volunteer and work on vocational skills. He wanted to work, but needed somewhere that would be extremely flexible, passionate, and that played good music! We needed some one who would allow him to just start working for 10-15 minutes and build from that at his own pace. Heather not only was willing, but went above and beyond! She gave him a time card, encouraged him to work for store credit (to buy some Christmas presents at the time) and always welcomed him with a big smile. Due to her kindness and support,!Marcus has a place he loves to work! He has built up his endurance and works now for an hour to even 4 hours! He has discovered he loves to use the pricing gun. He has grown and loves his job. Recently, she ordered staff shirts and of course included a shirt for Marcus. He loves his uniform and says “I look awesome!” When he puts it on. Thank you Heather and the Pi Baby team for not only being an amazing store but also having the biggest hearts!

Yesterday was pretty much the greatest World Down syndrome day for us thanks to all of you who shared your pictures of your socks and “Downright Wonderful” shirts, your comments, kind notes and your many posts and stories to celebrate Colt and Nic and all of our friends who have been gifted with an extra chromosome!! Thank you again SO much for your love, support and encouragement that I’m still reading!! One aspect of social media that I never considered when we began sharing our journey with the boys was the amazing connections and friends that we would make all around the world!! It is such a beautiful thing and makes the world seem so much smaller... not to mention makes us want to travel to a lot of your homes!!❤️❤️ ONE day!!!
.
***For those who have asked, our Down Syndrome video that the girls made is still in my highlights with a link to the YouTube video as well.
***And our Downright Wonderful shirts, to benefit Down syndrome adoption, information is also still in my highlights.
