Before coming to America, Gonzalo Rubino lived in Argentina where he owned a well-known sushi bar and restaurant. One day, he got an offer to sell his restaurant and took it as a sign to embark on a new journey in Miami. He formerly was in the retail industry with his family’s three-generation department store La Epoca, founded 1885 in Havana, Cuba.
