The rain held off just long enough for Sam & Zach to have their dream ceremony and for us to get plenty of great outdoor portraits! This is one of my favorites from the day... It’s not what you’d usually see from me and I love that. Don’t worry - we got plenty of up close portraits, too! Sam really wanted a photo she could hang in her entryway that didn’t scream “wedding portrait” and I think this beautiful landscape shot might do the trick! I’ve plastered all over my personal FB but have neglected my insta account so here she is, Maren Elizabeth. She made her debut July 4 after a spike in my blood pressure and a for-ev-er long induction. She weighed 6 lbs. 13 oz, 19 inches long, and sporting a full head of hair. Josh and I are in the ‘blur phase’ (well, me) of the newborn stage and most of the time, I have no clue what day it is...or where I put my coffee, and ‘did I brush my teeth today?’ (Yeahhhh coming from 12 years of dental hygiene, sleep deprivation is a REAL thing, folks.). We are surviving, plain and simple. It’ll get easier, but for now we’re soaking up all the baby snuggles and figuring her out as a team.
