A little bit of history for this week's #TBT. This woman is Florence Priscilla, an English activist who received this Autoped (yeah, that's what they called e-scooters in the XIX and XX century) as a gift from her husband back in 1916. These first devices were made in New York and Germany and even the US Postal Service used them as a fast mean of transportation. Even NY gangs used to ride them through alleys at high speeds to evade the police. Some of these little beasts could reach a whopping 25 km/h. How amazing is that? . Y va sobre el Autoped (sí, así le decían a los patinetes eléctricos en los siglos XIX y XX) que le regaló su esposo en 1916. Estos primeros vehículos de #movilidadpersonal eran fabricados en New York y Alemania y, durante su apogeo, hasta el servicio de correos de Estados Unidos los usaba para trasladarse rápidamente. Incluso, las mafias organizadas de New York los usaban para escapar de la policía por los callejones de la ciudad. De hecho, alcanzaban los 25 km/h. ¡Sorprendente! #BeSmartRideFun
