I felt so blessed and am still buzzing from having an amazing 25 hot-yogis in class last night. Fire week has always been a firm fave of mine and this week has come (as always) at the perfect time.
Letting go of anything is so hard, we fight to hold on and we fight to let go, but letting go is empowering and clears the way for growth and expansion.

#yogaedge Sometimes it's the simple, to the point and straight forward postures that serve you the most. Always ask yourself how the posture is benefiting you. Are you shaking like a leaf bound to crumble at any point? Then maybe that particular stage isn't for you today. Dial back with no judgment. The challenge lies in the balance between making progress with your practice whilst being really careful not to make yourself vulnerable to injury. The better your awareness of your body the easier it is to listen to the signals and work to your yoga edge successfully. So go out there and get to know yourself and watch your practice blossom I'm currently on 2 weeks personal practice rest after an injury snowboarding. I know full well if I take myself to class I will bypass the yoga edge stage and head straight for the broken wrist stage. So I'm concentrating on my self study #svādhyāya and getting to know other parts of my soul It's part of yoga to ask your body the question but it's your bodies prerogative to say no, respect it ❤️

One of the reasons why I love yoga, is the amount of concentration it takes to do a pose and lets your mind rest from whatever has been going on previously. You are fully focused to get into the pose and body is fully focused on not falling over. You are fully present and there is no space left for any other thoughts. This is why after quite a challenging yoga practice physically, you feel a calmness inside..as you just had an hour or more, of not thinking of anything else, apart from “how do I not fall over and smash my face in ”. When we balance, we align our body's center of gravity with the earth's gravitational field.
