You choose how to live your life but in my opinion there are two ways to live.
You can either stay in your comfort zone and keep going as you are.
Or you can really start living step out of your comfort zone, go on adventures, try new things and face your fears.
It is your decision. No one else can do that for you. Live your best life.

If you’ve been around other humans lately you probably had this exchange. You may or may not have felt anything when you said it due to it’s frequent occurrence. It’s harmless and better than nothing but it can lack genuine connection.
That’s what I love about checking in. Yoga and meditation are exactly that question being asked to yourself. Only you don’t have to verbally express it. Instead you literally get to feel, release, and recognize any internal patterns that may be blocking you from fulfilling your highest expression of self.
The disconnection from what we say and how we feel can lead to miscommunication at best and potentially believing ourselves after repetition at worst.
In order to spit your truth it must come from the heart and not the brain. It must come from expression and not words. Words are like Monopoly money in the world of currency unless used authentically. Who wants to work on this with me? “How is your ❤️?”
Success is not the final destination, failure is not catastrophic: it is the courage to continue that matters the most. ⠀⠀

When I first thought about teaching a yoga class, I was petrified by the thought of having to remember a sequence. Over the years I’d remembered legal cases, Latin names and complex programming schedules but not a movement sequence, since my karate days. Since then though, after thousands of classes, my brain has rewired itself. I can teach a sequence once and it is cemented in to my mind forever! Also, I can go to someone else’s class, and if you asked me to, I’m pretty sure I could teach exactly their class immediately after!

I have however completely lost my ability to remember names and place faces. It’s become a real effort! I can recognise a face on the street but often don’t know from where from. Maybe I’ve taught them yoga in London. Maybe in Sweden. Maybe they are famous. Maybe we went to school together. Maybe they are a neighbour! Either way, I smile at them.... and perhaps slightly freak them out.

If you dislike doing something, trying to over come that dislike creates friction which means it requires will power.
What this means is that if you continue to look at this situation as challenging, or frustrating, or something to over come, sure you can make progress, but you will be depleting your will power reserve around something that you don't really even want to do.
I used to strongly dislike any sort of backbends, I overcome that negative feeling using will power.
Now, I know how much I love all sorts of yoga poses because I overcome my fear and dislike about backbend. How do you really know that you like summer if you never experience winter?
