Sinking shoulders and high bottoms is a No No!!!
Seriously there’s no point, keep your knees down and focus on your form.
Draw in the abdomen, almost feel as if you are being lifted upwards from the back of the waist.
If your knees are off the mat your body should form a straight line from your shoulders to your hips to your knees to your ankles. Just as in PLANK.
Strengthening the triceps required to help support Poses like Crow and eventually push up into Crane.

We had taken some time away from back-bending lately, so today we took some inspiration from the ashtanga primary and intermediate series to ease ourselves back in.
It took me a while to appreciate backbends of any kind, but now they always leave me feeling energised and uplifted.
Of course, to begin with, your backbends don’t have to big and deep, but starting with a few cobra poses or locust poses for example can give you exactly the same benefits. .
