A little dream of mine came true this week. My first proper dried flower installation is featuring at the spectacular @strawbhillhouse flower festival amongst some of the countries talented florists. The brains behind the event @leigh.chappell.flowers @jannelford and @honeysuckle_and_hilda have pulled together something pretty damn special and all for a good cause whilst raising the profile of sustainable British floristry. I was given the green closet to work in, a small room with wallpaper that’d make anyone’s eyes go a little but that suited the delicate golden tones of my dried flowers just perfectly. With my partner in crime @atlasflowers we set about carefully placing individual stems into teeny tiny holes, no mean feat as the sun set and darkness descended on the house. 100% natural and 100% reusable, i foraged and dried much of what we used and my vision of a recreating a meadow in the height of warm hazy summer days was born. It’s all in the details with dried flowers and I’m sharing a few of those details with you here in these photos. The festival is on until Wednesday and I’ll link more details in my stories
