Walking through the various neighborhoods of a place I’m visiting is hands down my favorite way of exploring. I see details I would never notice from a car, find little side streets or views that would be otherwise be easily missed, and chat with people that I meet. I haven’t done this in a long time, if ever. Thought I would share a few tidbits about myself: 1) I have lived in CT my entire life (all 51 years!) with the exception of attending William & Mary in Virginia. I grew up in South Windsor, where my parents still live, but I have lived in West Hartford since 1995, the year I married my husband Brian. 2) My major was accounting, and I started in public accounting and got my CPA. I proceeded to work in insurance company finance through 2015, and then worked at the Mark Twain House for a couple of years. I resigned there last fall and am now figuring out what comes next! I am burned out on Finance 3) I have two wonderful children, Lauren age 20 and Zack age 17. Lauren also attends William & Mary and Zack is figuring out where he will apply to school in the fall. We also have two rescue golden retrievers, Lilly & Tory. They are our third and fourth Golden’s 4) If I knew then what I know now, I would have studied Historic Preservation. And if it had existed, maybe social media marketing I also find psychology fascinating. 5) Photography and IG have changed my life the last few years. I have had so many fun experiences as a result of this little hobby and have met wonderful people. It really is social media! 6) I live a pretty “basic” life ‍♀️ give me coffee, Netflix, and ice cream! Tell me something about yourself! Would love to know more about you #newport
