Happy Thursday everyone! • Today I had a wander around Trinity Cemetery here in Aberdeen; this is a place I’ve never featured on my page before! • Trinity Cemetery first opened in 1887, and is still used for burials to this day! It’s located to the north of the city centre, next to Aberdeen Beach and Pittodrie Stadium (home of Aberdeen Football Club)! • It is a fairly large and open cemetery consisting of two sections - a west section and an east section! The west section is the larger of the two and is where the cemetery started, with the east section (known as the ‘Broadhill Extension’) being added in the 20th century! The two sections are divided by Park Road which runs between them! • The cemetery has a lot of First and Second World War burials! But also buried here are my great-grandparents, Helen and Jock Baxter from Fittie! ❤️ • • Hope you enjoy the collection of pics I got here! • Worth explaining are the first photo and the last two photos! Photo 1 is of the cemetery lodge which stands next to the official main entrance in the west section! Abeerden, Escocia No, esta foto no es blanco y negro, así de gris es esta ciudad al norte de Escocia. Tiene unos edificios preciosos que seguro que se ven preciosos en un día soleado... Pero los cielos grises son lo más común en esa parte del mundo.
