It’s pretty hard to top a sunrise on the coast of Acadia. I hit the Gorham Mountain Trail in complete darkness, using a flashlight to find my way over the rocky path. I was running late though, so I was half walking, half jogging up the mountain- not the best way to start my day, but I had high hopes for a beautiful sunrise at the top. In the end, most of the clouds cleared leaving a fairly blank sky, but just for a few minutes, the sky lit up with a beautiful pink-ish, orange, purple glow.
