My left side the day I started roaccutane ➡️ today! This has always been my more severe side. Some say roaccutane doesn’t do anything for scarring but it definitely has lol.
At this point I still get a spot or 2 about once a week? Which I’m so fkn happy with. My derm has told me once I’ve been completely spot free for 2 months is when I’ll be finished my course! She’s expecting this to be around September - October.
Six months OFF accutane update -
My skin does not feel the same as it was on accutane. I’m not as poreless anymore and my oil glands are definitely active again. I do get super small pimples, but really this is nothing for me and i’m still amazingly impressed with what accutane has done for me. I rarely think or obsess over my skin anymore. However, I am going to start treatments to try and even out my skin tone/lighten my acne scars. Next week is my first microdermabrasion appointment and if that goes well I will start microneedling! I’m excited to start these treatments and of course share with you all how they work for me

My “little” 5 months transformation I almost forgot how bad it was when I started Accutane treatment. These pics shocked me after seeing them for the first time after last 5 months... My severe problem with acne started more or less 3 years ago after moving to Italy. There were probably multiple reasons for this... it has been a long fight which left literally and metaphorically some scars... it is possible to win with acne though... you can read more about it on my blog! can’t believe how long my hair is getting?! hello everyone, I’ve been real sick and tired lately but I’m feeling a lot better today. ☀️ my cheeks are getting to that rosy phase (which is kinda cute) but my scarring isn’t looking as bright red as it used to! It’s been about 8 months on roaccutane now?! has anyone else been on quite a long course on a lower dose?
WHERE YOU ARE NOW ISN’T WHERE YOU’LL BE FOREVER! Acne is SUCH A DAMN rollercoaster, and all of us were forced to get on it lol. Everything I say to you guys in regards to progress is so much easier said, but believe me when I tell you that your skin DOES have the ability to heal itself. Never in my 8 years of having acne did I think my skin would be as clear as it is now, (thanks to accutane of course) but I just thought i’d spread a little bit of hope to those of you that are struggling right now Acne doesn’t last forever!

In the gym changing rooms today I overheard some school girls just have been about 13 saying ‘boys only like you if you’re pretty, they don’t care if you’re a bitch’ and I felt that ahh sis we’ve all been there

Something that we don’t often talk about is HAIR LOSS
In the last couple of weeks I have been losing big clumps of hair every day. I’m not going to lie and pretend I’m cool with it, because it’s really been bothering me. It’s normal to lose hair everyday but I know that I am shedding a bit more than I usually do. This could be down to my recent course of Accutane, but it is most likely down to my PCOS.
I have never really ‘managed’ my PCOS that well, I’ve kind of just carried on as normal and made a few lifestyle changes. But it’s time to really do what’s best for my body in terms of diet, stress management and supplementation.
Our bodies have wonderful (and not so wonderful) ways of telling us that something this going on inside of us. Listen to your body and treat it well ❤️✨
