I have less than a week before heading out to Hawaii to teach at @wanderlustfest and check out the other islands. I always enjoy collaborating with @nwoy she’s truly talented swipe to see behind the scenes! .

Super excited about this trip, I’ve never been to Hawaii, so this will be my first time. I only hear good things about the island. Not only that but I’m looking forward to teaching with @teenie29 , we’ve been developing some fun classes and can’t wait to share with participants. .

Acro tips:
Base: The hand placement on the shoulder should be turned out, make sure to communicate your flyer to see if it feels okay. Most of the weight will be in that arm. Be ready to catch with your feet when coming down.
Flyer: when grabbing onto the back foot, try to avoid going into the deep backbend. Otherwise it can tend to feel like it’s falling backwards. If falling forward let go of the back foot and bring your feet to the ground.
When learning this make sure to use a spot to keep everyone safe. The spotter should be standing behind the flyer hands on the hips. .

Acro tips:
Base: from bird, place your fingers along the flyers forearms. Help the flyer get into this position with bringing your feet towards your arms. Be ready to catch your feet and don’t let your arms go over your head.
Flyer: you have to be pretty flexible for this one, or you can just hit a different shape that comfortable for you. Most important thing is to actively be pushing down with your forearms and moving slow. If falling backwards, make sure not to collapse in your arms but to push instead.
Use the SPOT, they should be standing by the side hands close to the belly and back ready to catch. . .
