Had a wonderful night dining under Concorde to celebrate the work of @joneggingtrust in helping young people achieve and overcome adversity. This year we have plenty of fun adventure challenges for those looking for a good cause to raise money for, including #JETRIDE in September, a choice of a 50 or 80 mile cycle ride starting from RAF Cranwell #joneggingtrust #charity #overcomeadversity #bethebestyoucan #Concorde #aerospacebristol #cobham
Bristol. United Kingdom Good Morning everyone! If you are going to travel this week, have a nice and safe journey. And if you are around the city of Bristol, in England , take some time to visit the “Aerospace Bristol Museum”, for a fantastic overview of history and facts of one of the most significant projects of the Commercial Aviation in the world.
A supersonic transport (SST) is a civilian supersonic aircraft designed to transport passengers at speeds greater than the speed of sound. To date, the only SSTs to see regular service have been Concorde and the Tupolev Tu-144. And yes, all of this done in the 70’s.
I am honored for having had access to original drawings and papers of Concord, during the time I worked for Airbus, as an Engineer and fell glad to see such important heritage and paperwork, including one of the real remained Concords, being shared with the public at the present time.

Two bristol icons come together this year, as we celebrate 50 years of Concorde.
Today former Concorde Pilot and balloonist Tim Orchard tethered this beauty at Aerospace Bristol... and yes those seats are from Concorde itself!
We'll be celebrating all things Concorde at the Fiesta this year so keep your eyes peeled for news and updates on what we have in store this August.
1969: A year when humans walked on the moon, listened to groundbreaking sounds from David Bowie and co – and prepared to drink champagne whilst travelling to New York aboard #concorde at a speed exceeding that of a rifle bullet. We revisit the year of the nation’s favourite aircraft and track its regular route from #heathrowairport aboard our own supersonic stars: The #astonmartin V8, #bristol411 and #fordcapri were all unveiled 50 years ago. How do they stack up today? We take them from #brooklandsmuseum to the incredible #aerospacebristol museum and gain exclusive access to the Brabazon Hanger – birthplace of Concorde.
Elsewhere in this issue, you’ll find superb #mgmidget and #peugeot405 restoration stories, an interview with a legendary racing driver in her #austinmaxi , we detail our latest project cars – from our amazing NEC show project Riley to the UK’s oldest #citroencx . Then there’s all the tech: More restoration advice and maintenance tips than any other car magazine out there!
