WAT IS RPE? ♀️

Sinds mijn nieuwe trainingsschema van mijn coach @frisnfit voer ik mijn oefeningen uit aan de hand van RPE's. RPE staat voor Rate of perceived exertion en is een subjectieve persoonlijke indicatie om te bepalen hoe zwaar elke set van een oefening aanvoelt.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tot het gaatje gaan elke training zorgt voor een hogere vermoeidheid, grotere kans op blessures en een trager herstel. Je moet niet alleen hard trainen, maar ook slim! D oor te werken met RPE's kun je dit goed monitoren
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Je berekent je RPE door het aantal herhalingen dat je ‘in de tank’ hebt gelaten af te trekken van 10. Dit wil zeggen dat een RPE van 10 jouw maximale belasting is en dat je dan dus traint tot falen. Zou je nog twee herhalingen kunnen uitvoeren? Dan is je RPE 10-2 = 8. Kon je er nog 3 dan is je RPE 10-3 = 7. ♀️

Leg development is coming along and I’m maintaining between 168-172 lbs depending on how I cycle carbs and sodium. My palm/carpel injury is almost fully recovered by I’m being patient. I actually did 10 push-ups with minimal pain so that is progress.

This week I’ll do ZERO upper body days in hopes to give my hand even more rest. So let’s keep destroying these legs.
