Papa don’t preach! I want to introduce you guys to a brand that I think this summer you need to know about @papadontpreachbyshubhika , I have not found a piece that I don’t have this reaction too . The outfits are funky, flirty, playful and the concepts are unique. This is just part 1 of this outfit btw. Also best thing is you don’t have to go all the way to India to get your hands on your pieces but can get them from @jasminenikaza who stocks these in the UK. One of my fave thing about this brand is the colours that Shubhika uses in her outfits. Blue is such a tough colour to get right but the here you get the royal boldness but the moderness of the neon beading on the skirt of the outfit. I wanted to give justice to the subtle statement of this outfit so paired it with a subtle Nath from @jewels_gems and thread-work earrings from @shingaar_coventry (one of my fave accessories). Palazzo Power! Warning you will probably see these Palazzo trousers a lot. So, I love Palazzo trousers - they are literally one of my favourite fashion trends around. They are ideal in the summer heat as they are light and breezy way to stay cool. So many ways to dress it up and down you can wear it with a T-shirt, cami top or Bralet. How to drape a wide border Dupatta! I know it’s been a while since I have posted a video with a tip but promise there is more on the way. Here is how you can pleat a wide border Dupatta in under 1min to wear to any function. Wide border Dupatta are the hardest to handle but the easiest to fold. Find the middle an line up the borders from each side. Take the remaining fabric and fold it behind the 2 joint borders using the width as a guide, once done just secure with a pin. Easy Peasy! Style: Dhoti Outfit- Something different this wedding season. I always like finding different outfit styles and looks to experiment with. This is my 1st time wearing a Dhoti style outfit and I loved it especially the way it has been designed by @tayariiclothing - swipe to hear my review on it. Dhoti style is unique for the way it is wrapped and draped as trousers as was mainly worn by men but as fashion has evolved I have seen more women’s outfits being designed as Dhoti style. I love this one in particular as it’s already pleated and draped and is like a pull on skirt and you don’t have to mess around with it. I think it’s great for this years Mehndi functions whether you are a bride to be and want something unique or attending a wedding as guest it’s ideal! Spring is here! I say that and we have had 4 days of good weather so that’s definitely British Spring all sorted. Printed blouses, jeans & a pair of heels are my fave spring time evening look. Heels if you want to glam it up or trainers if you want to tone it down either work with that combination. Printed blouses also give you lots of accessories options as they have so many colour options to choose from. I went for contrast tan as colour and perplex tan heels and a tan straw cross bag. Personally also not fan of full perplex shoes so these seem perplex heels from @kurtgeiger are perfect! I always have to match at least 2 things wether it’s belt and bag, bag and shoes, belt and shoes etc I think it’s OCD, anyone else like that? Pink Lemonade! If this outfit was a drink I would definitely call this pink lemonade. I loved the subtle pastel pink border on this Lengha so to rewear it in a different way I needed to bring that subtle border out and do it justice by matching it with the same coloured Dupatta. This way you get a slight different combination on this lengha without loosing the montone impact. These 2 colours are such summer colours and kind of make me smile when I look at them. Did somebody say Cake?! That is literally my face at a function - wait, who we kidding that is my face anytime somebody says cake is ready. It’s also the only time I will get off the dance floor lol. Anyone else agree? Here is one way to tone down/ rewear this kind of tulle Lengha with waistband embroidery - wear it with a plain top. This red plain raw silk blouse with 3/4 sleeves is one of my staple items in my Asian cupboard. Sometimes a fully embroidered blouse is too much and so change it up and get the most out of it. A plain blouse like this is ideal as it works with all prints and textures. I would highly recommend adding it as must have. Now back to cake! I will literally eat any cake but if I had to pick it, Black Forest gateau is my favourite!! What is your favourite cake? The back pack kid! Ok so I need to finish this Langkawi series so we can move onto the next one. One essential item I pack whenever I travel is a back pack - yup it goes everywhere with me. I love exploring and find a back pack the easiest way to do that. Especially cute ones and you are handsfree to run around lol plus shorts and T-shirt combo is the same as the jeans and T-shirt combo we all know we keep in our cupboard. I have invested in several different back packs and would defo recommend them. In terms of things to do in Langkawi there is not a huge amount but I really did enjoy the Sky bridge which is suspended 660m above sea level. To get there you need to take a cable car which gives you a beautiful view of the island. Unfortunately it was really cloudy at the top so view was restricted but I still think it’s worth it. The new kind of 3 piece suit! I honestly can’t explain how light weight & comfy this Dhoti outfit is by @tayariiclothing. Plus you have the option to wear it as a 3 piece suit as well, as it comes with this beautiful georgette kimono style jacket. We have seen lots of alternative to wearing Dupattas these days - capes, shawls, jacket, ruffled wraps etc but I think one of my fave alternatives is this kimono style cape. You have the option of also wearing it with a standard dupatta of course with the outfit but I kind like the drama of this kimono style georgette cape.
