Today the HALI Tour visited the Museum City Palace in Jaipur. Built when the new capital was founded in 1727, the Palace is now a museum displaying an unsurpassed collection of paintings and artefacts, including rare Mughal carpets of the 17th century. Thank you to Giles Tillotson and Rima Hooja for arranging our access to the City Palace, and to curator Ramkrishan and conservator Anjali Jain for your assistance during our visit. The special viewing of Mughal and Persian carpets brought out from storage was a real treat! Following our morning at the City Palace we stopped off to see textile dealer Subash Sharma at his shop next door. واقعا چرا فرش دستباف ایرانی هرچی کهنه تر باشه بهتره؟؟ . . در واقع فرش دستباف ایرانی تنها کف پوشیه که بر اثر پا خوردن، نور و شست و شو زیبایی هاش بیشتر میشه و هیچوقت چشم نوازی و دلبرانگی خودش رو از دست نمیده. به ویژه اگه که این قالی با استفاده از مواد طبیعی رنگ شده باشه.
