Funny fact about me, that’s actually pretty sad is; when I first created an Instagram and discovered this app my dream was to start exploring and working more with fashion, not just beauty. I learned so much in 3 years when it comes to beauty. My style and technique evolved so much and I’m so proud of it. But I was weak. I stayed in my lane and didn’t push enough the boundaries when it comes to fashion. With a platform like mine, I feel ashamed I didn’t push, without trying to be too pretentious, I really think having a platform makes me responsible, because I have the opportunity to show to a lot of people a new standard, or I have a way of helping the standards. I’m confidente. You’ll never surprise me doubting myself when it comes to knowing who I am as a person, and that gives me the confidence in everything else. But I was weak back then, weak enough to think I didn’t have my place in fashion because of my size. Not skinny enough 99% of the time but also not “big” enough to fit either categories. Feels familiar? OF COURSE it does. The majority of us that actually buy all the fashion have nothing to do with the models. But HEY thanks to Instagram WE can all create a spot for ourselves. I don’t want to wear what’s “meant” for my body type. I couldn’t care more about making my body look a certain way. I want to get creative. I want to have fun. It’s time, time to finally start posting all the extravagant outfits I have in my mind. So until they give me a podium for my own fashion show, I’ll be taking over the streets .
