We think being a mom means being boring and giving up your life and just taking care of the little human you pray everyday to keep alive. But being a mom is what YOU personally make it. You are blessed to be whatever mom you want to be and no one can judge you except for you. I know I’m a cool mom regardless if I’m boring or happy because my daughter is going to feel like I’m cool no matter what. I think with Mother’s Day coming up you should elevate yourself. Take a notepad and rate how do you think you are as a mom. I know we are hard on ourselves and I extremely am. I’m overbearing, and sometimes not as caring and others too exhausted to notice but motherhood is a journey. There is room for error and no room for perfection. It actually doesn’t exist so do yourself a favor. Look in the mirror holding your child or if they’re too big, stand with them. Hold them and tell yourself, you are doing a great job because you are. We weren’t given a rule book but we were given a choices If you aren’t happy about who you are, you have time to change it and get better. I’m a cool mom, sure but I’m also a worthy mom. Well shoot, that break yesterday was spaaamazing. Never realized how much of a social media break was needed to calm my sanity, until I was forced into it. Oh sure, of course I missed it, the agonizing 12 or so hours were brutal, but again, so very needed and necessary. I went to bed early, got a full 10 hours and never once woke to check Instagram “breaking news” or to see if @IamZoe had posted anything hilarious or the fabulous it’s Friday pole dance. I even had a full conversation with my husband, without saying “uh huh, oh what did you say”, while scrolling through the funny memes. Y’all this momma just got to Asheville I’m getting to help my sister with a photography retreat and I couldn’t be more excited! I’ll be helping with all the behind the scenes stuff and learning some awesome info for my wedding business so it’s technically a work trip, but it’s also gonna be fun to get away with the girls all weekend! I’m already missing my little guy so much buttttt I’m not gonna let the mom guilt overtake me! I’m gonna work at bettering my business and myself and he’s gonna have a blast with his grandparents! Just had my follow up with @wifh and it went great! Still only just over 3.5 weeks from the procedure but my lower stomach is DRASTICALLY reduced. It will continue to go down and get flatter over the next couple of months. If you have been following along in this #smartlipo journey you know how easy this procedure was! It had no down time. Minimally invasive. Mostly just sore - not really painful and seeing results like this in an area I thought was a lost cause - AMAZING!!! Dr. K is amazing! Video coming soon of that whole day!
