Well what a ride! Today, I celebrate an incredible 10 years, TEN YEARS ‘working’ as an Ambassador (or Ambadassador to liberate @deancallan ‘s phrase ) for Bombay Sapphire. It’s been quite the journey. Never did I imagine 14 years previous in 1995 when I left school and went to chefs collage in Stamford that an ‘Ambassador’ job title even existed in the spirits business! Today, I chose this pic of myself & @merlinfdc4 as it’s basically the earliest image I could find of me working on the brand. This was at Somerset House in London - May 2009, the brands & my very first of many pop-up bars. Here, chatting away to the ever helpful, knowledgable & personable Merlin (who was the Global Bombay Sapphire Ambassador at the time) catching up after a busy service, probably giving me hints & tips on how to make the very best Dry Martini or Tom Collins ever! The next pics are a few poses I couldn’t resist adding of me at the Bombay Sapphire Blue Rooms at Vinopolis whereby I retain amazing memories from, especially working with the ever talented & passionate @christianbrixiii . Over the 10 years, I’ve travelled the world extensively, met some incredible people, talked, inspired & presented to literally tens of thousands of bartenders, journalists, agencies, distributors and internal Bacardi ‘Primos’, created & made hundreds of thousands of Bombay Sapphire cocktails, enjoyed the odd cocktail or two along the way myself (), helped on many new gin liquid innovations & launches, invented ‘The Laverstoke’ cocktail (if you don’t know it, where the f*ck have you been!) and even helped open the Bombay Sapphire Distillery at Laverstoke Mill, our brands home for life. We’ve built & nurture it to what it is today - an incredible world renowned Brand Home that’s the true envy of the gindustry. I’ll raise a to the next 10 and hope they are even stronger & more gin packed if that’s even possible!!!
