We have a tradition to travel to Dresden at the Christmas dance school to Sylvia Hartung. Here we have 4-5 days of dance classes for 8 hours every day. We dance difficult polka, mazurka, quadrille, waltzes. And after these days of dancing we have a dance party or a ball. We are now in Dresden for dance training.  Now we are learning all the dances that Sylvia will teach in August in Moscow.⠀ You ask me what dance trainings look like.⠀ ⠀ This is how Sylvia Hartung make it in Dresden. Usually it is intensive  for 3-4 days, from morning to evening.  During this time we learn 15-20 dances.⠀ Dances are very different: waltzes, polkas, mazurkas, gallops, redova, quadrilles.⠀ ⠀ Every time we learn a lot of new things, by the end of the third day, usually our legs are very sore, the head can not think.⠀ At the end of these days, we make videos of all the learned dances so that we don’t forget anything.⠀ We start shooting the first dance in the morning, the last one is at night, when it’s dark outside, it's all day.⠀ Until everyone does dance, there will be no pause dance.  If one person made a mistake, all people dance again.⠀ If you want to drink tea and talk for half a day, this is not an option for you.  But we like it very much and we come here for the fourth year.☺️⠀ ⠀ This video with a piece of one of the Strauss quadrille figures, Sylvia’s reconstruction, was made on our last visit, everything was learned in the previous couple of days.⠀ ⠀ Which of you is going to the festival of historical dance in Moscow on August?⠀ ⠀ _____⠀ ⠀ Мы сейчас в Дрездене на танцевальных тренировках. Готовимся к августу в Москве.⠀ А из вас кто-то на ФИТ в августе собирается в Москву?⠀ Вы спрашиваете меня как выглядят танцевальные тренировки....⠀ ⠀ Вот так выглядят они у Сильвии Хартунг в Дрездене. Обычно это интенсивы 3-4 дня, с утра до вечера. За это время мы успеваем выучить 15-20 танцев (я считаю каждую фигуру кадрили , как отдельный танец, так как вся кадриль обычно состоит из 5-6 фигур и длится 12-20 минут).⠀ Танцы самые разнообразные это вальсы, польки, мазурки, галопы, редовы. Как отдельные танцы или в разнообразных связках в кадрилях.⠀ ⠀ Каждый раз подчерпываем для себя много всего нового, к концу третьего дня обычно уже ножки не ходят, голова не варит. This weekend we attended a wonderful ball hosted by the Opera Ghent, Belgium.⠀ There was a very beautiful hall, live music and a lot of dancing.⠀ ⠀ I think about 150 guests attended at this ball. And as far as I understood it was the last ball in this hall before restoration.⠀ I am very glad we were able to see this beautiful hall and enjoyed the ball.⠀ ⠀ _______⠀ Costumes, hair : @irina_krutasova ⠀ _______⠀⠀ ⠀ В эти выходные мы посетили чудесный бал в опере Гента, Бельгия.⠀ Бал проходил в очень красивом зале с уютным светом и живой музыкой и было похоже, что ты шагнул в прошлое на миг.⠀ Дресс код был достаточно разнообразным с 1830 до 1865 и можно было встретить много красивых и изящных костюмов.⠀ ⠀ Бал посетили около 150 гостей. И на сколько я поняла этот бал был последним в данном зале, перед его закрытием на ремонт, на сколько лет не знаю и будут ли там проводить балы после открытия, тоже пока не известно.⠀ Но я буду очень рада побывать там вновь, когда представится такая возможность.
