Never stop looking up . . . People with off leash dogs are the bane of my existence. The other day I was walking back from a swim with Ego and we were passing a group of people with a dog. Ego was leashed and in a tight heel on the side opposite of the group. Their off leash dog stopped and was staring at Ego. They kept yelling at it to “come” but instead it rushed up to Ego and got right in his face. Understandably Ego was very uncomfortable. I waited for them to grab their dog and they apologized. We kept walking and just a few steps later I hear them yelling again and lone behold their dog is chasing after us. This time when it got into Ego’s face he growled. I don’t blame him! I was very frustrated that these people let their dog off leash and let it run around out of control. After they grabbed their dog for the second time and we were far enough away, I looked down and saw Ego was wagging his tail and looking up at me. It kind of felt like he was reassuring me. We can’t control what other people do, only how we react. *advertisement Since I have seen this bivouac in the gallery of Alex Strohl, I am fascinated about it. I am always happy about traveling to Slovenia, and so we started a little road trip. After a 4 hour drive and a total hiking altitude of 1400 metres, we reached the cabin „biwak pod skuto“ in the Kamniker Alps. Unfortunately the cabin was already full and so we slept outside.
