1 1/2 oz. White Rum @canabravarum
3/4 oz. Honey Syrup
1/2 oz. Blue Curaçao
3/4 oz. Lemon Juice
Honey Wheat Ale

Shake together all ingredients except beer with ice. Fill beer mug with pebble ice and strain drink into it. Top with honey wheat ale and more pebble ice. Set your garnish ship sailing on the top ⛵️

AHOY! I’m happy to debut my ship into the #ghostshipworldtour fleet, which many awesome mixologists have already contributed to. I also thought it the perfect opportunity to make this another signature game themed cocktail inspired by Sea of Thieves.

I was super stoked for Sea of Thieves leading up to its release early last year. However when it did come out, it was unfortunately...a huge disappointment. The game had some witty character and a cool style but there was not much to do aside from fetching chickens and battling skeletons. There was no meaningful quests or any semblance of a story to be found on the dangerous seas. Needless to say I dropped off playing it pretty fast, but fast forward more than a year later and I revisited it briefly. Happy to say they added a multitude of story missions, quests, and progression aspects to the game. It has vastly improved and is much more fun. So if you were like me and picked it up at release but were disappointed, maybe give it another chance now. I haven’t spent much time in it still, but there are stories to follow and treasure hunts to be had. It still has a lot of untapped potential I hope they will uncover eventually though.

The drink had to be based in rum...cuz pirates. Also, one of the most beautiful aspects of the game is the water. The water shaders are so detailed and so pretty, with all different shades of glowing blues and greens so I wanted to somehow emulate the look of the water with the drink, and happy to say I got damn close. With pirates also being fond of ale, I picked out a crisp honey wheat ale to float on top to complement the honey in the base cocktail. Cheers Mateys!!

Mango Beerliciousness

I used:

90ml @matsosbeer Mango Beer*
15ml Tequila
15ml Chambord
15ml Chili liqueur
15ml Cointreau
15ml Lime
Barspoon grenadine .
Place all ingredients in a cocktail jug and stir well until combined

Double strain into really cute glasses filled with ice. Garnish with dehydrated ruby grapefruit, baby limes and thyme
.
*Matso’s Mango Beer combines full fruit aromas with a subtle sweetness and dry finish.
Brewed to taste just like a tropical “Broome Time” holiday.
It is unfiltered and it is made with made with Australian mangoes.

When Matthias @servedbysoberon asked me to join in his drinkstagram celebration in honour of Belgium’s National Day today... all I could think of was waffles
The day commemorates the day Leopold I, took the constitutional oath as the first King of Belgium in 1831. I needed bubbles not waffles. We’re celebrating after all. The next best thing about Belgium is beer!
Matthias is also a fan of rum and tiki inspired cocktails so out came the Appleton 12 yo. The Beery Fruity Rumbling was born...
50ml @appletonrumuk Rare Blend 12 yo
20ml @suzeofficial
15ml @monin_uk Orgeat
75ml @rubiconexotic Mango Juice
Dashes of Chocolate Factory @offthecuffe_bitters
20ml fresh lime juice
@st.stefanus Blonde
Shake all except beer with ice. Shake off all the waffles and chocolate you’ve eaten today.
Strain into highball with broken ice. Top with beer.
Garnish with Mango, Matthias’ signature bunch of mint and a @godivauk chocolate to match - a Coco Love with creamy almond, coconut praline covered in Belgian milk chocolate. Did you know praline originated in Belgium?
