WHATAFREAKINGDAY What a family. What a wedding. I’m over the moon excited about @talithorne and @swordfishh tying the knot today. After having a blast taking snowy engagement photos with them last year, I knew today would be a party. And boy was it ever. But it’s not just the fact that they’re beautiful people. Nor that the wedding was flawlessly gorgeous or their wedding party was incredible. What made it special was the heart. This is the second time I’ve shot a Thorne family wedding (shout out to the OG @taigthorne) so it felt like I was coming back to hang out with family. It made everything insanely wonderful. Tali and Brian - thank you for trusting me. Thank you for being willing to let your hair down, for letting it all out and for being yourselves. In observance of the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we reflect on his work and legacy. . . #ShapeNAC2019 was my fifth @globalshaperscommunity regional conference and a few days before I left, I spent some time thinking about how I wanted to do this SHAPE differently from past SHAPEs. . Looking back, I really loved who showed up. . I showed up in my truth and felt embraced in that. I’ve been talking about this a lot this year and to see how it has played out oftentimes leaves me in awe. . I joked this weekend that I felt like I had a lot of “half-conversations,” where I’d either join one in the middle or start one only to get pulled away into something else. But the people in this photo (and many others not photographed) are a few of the beautiful humans I was able to (re-)connect with so deeply and meaningfully. These are the moments to live for. .
