ДЕТИ 1.0 Если кто-то думает, что работа с детьми это легко, ты вы сильно ошибаетесь....все настолько индивидуально, у каждого свои маленькие тараканчики в голове, которых ну ооочень много, и попробуй с каждым подружись Иногда приходишь на занятие полный энергии, радостный, а начинается хаос: один не хочет тебя слушать от слова вообще, потому что у него СВОЙ СОБСТВЕННЫЙ план урока, в который ты не вписываешься...другой просто тебя не слышит! Достаточно часто у детей бывает так, что они как будто сидят в скафандре и абсолютно отречены от внешнего мира, ты хоть заорись, хоть на голове стой - внимания ты не добьёшься никак! Ta-da! My pencil solution Flexible seating has made the pencil situation Kids were constantly getting new pencils since they couldn’t store them in their desks and one kid had 35 pencils in his cubby I found this pencil organizer from @organizemore and gave each student two pencils labeled with their name that live in their two slots when they are not being used. It’s the perfect new system for us with #earthday right around the corner- no more wasted pencils!

A few of these kiddos get off the bus and are home alone for hours. Others go to sleep with an empty stomach. One little girl didn’t have a Christmas tree this year, and one of my boys has to sleep on the couch because he doesn’t have a bed. - - - - - Aside from everyone’s life circumstances, we are still learning and growing together. We teach each other, support one another, and encourage each other everyday! We not only talk about being kind, we practice it every single day. - - - - - Fun time practicing our multiplication facts! Five short weeks left with my babies!

This picture was from the beginning of the school year in 2014, when I began student teaching in a 4th grade self-contained dual language classroom in New York City (This school has both a Spanish DL and a French DL program!!) I had worked the previous year with Ms. Sonia for observations, doing lessons and helping her out with anything she/the kiddos needed. This little bump is starting to feel real, four months in! I still can’t believe it’s actually happening. The fact that we have 8 school days until finals ALSO blows my mind. We usually get out in very late June, but with just one snow day this year we are done on the 12th! I’ve never gotten out this early in my life, as a teacher or student.
