I made Valuation Project in 2014 w/ high hopes of fractional ownership experimentation. Anyone in the world, whether in person or via webcam, could contribute to the art's worth by sending it BTC. One concept was that donated BTC would be held for an agreed upon time (say 5 yrs). As my career progressed and BTC grew in value, so would attention for the artwork, thereby increasing its value as well. At the end of the 5 yrs, the work would be put up for sale w/ the locked BTC returned to each contributor along with a corresponding % of the sale of the work. The project was tabled for personal reasons. At some point I may take the piece out of storage and run with this concept or another couple ideas pertaining to value I've kicked around. Ideally, it would be displayed somewhere that gets heavy foot traffic to increase interaction.
