I'm in need of some opinions. I'm considering backing @feudumgame new expansion to get it and the base game as well. It's a pretty high price point to buy without trying, but I haven't had the opportunity to find someone to play with. I enjoy heavy games, so the difficulty to learn it and the weight of the game don't bother me. I absolutely love the art style and description of the game. If you have played Feudum, what do you like about it? Would you suggest it? Would you wait to try and get it at retail? Architects of the Western Kingdom by @renegade_game_studios is a brilliant worker placement game. In Architects players compete to impress the king by building structures, helping repair the cathedral and by keeping their honour by staying away from the black market and committing nefarious deeds. What separates Architects from other worker placement games is that you start with all of your workers unlocked. You start the game with 20 workers and don’t have to worry about how you get more. Architects then employs a capture and prison mechanic, your opponents can rally the townsfolk to capture your workers and send them to prison. This simple push-pull mechanic is a great way to encourage player interaction in a worker placement game. Typically, interaction is limited to, taking a spot an opponent wanted to go into. This is still present here, however, combining this with the capture mechanic, Architects is lifted above a lot of worker placement games in my opinion. This is now a must own if you like worker placement games.
