Eigentlich liebe ich den Sommer, aber über 40 Grad ist mir dann vielleicht doch zu viel. • dafür konnte ich aber heute in der Sonne endlich „New Beginnings“ lesen und das Buch hat mir echt so gut gefallen. Habt ihr es schon gelesen oder habt es vor? Ich fand, es war einfach total die schöne Geschichte, bei der man beim Lesen einfach glücklich und zufrieden ist. Also perfekt für so einen Tag. A tiny book haul... Yesterday I went and bought Colson Whitehead’s new book: The Nickel Boys. This has been one of my most anticipated reads all year! I can’t wait to dive into this important book. My book lover senses have a feeling that this is going to be amazing! The Nickel Boys is set in the Jim Crow era South and follows the lives of two African American boys sentenced to a reform school - Nickel Academy. Whitehead’s novel tackles another period of American racism and systemic discrimination.
