How do you highlight your books? Use stickers or write / draw directly in the book? Well as you can see, I use stickers to mark my favourite parts in a book. And in this case I pretty much “sticker” the entire book as I just love this series so much! For all my new followers, The Bronze Horseman series by @paullinasimons is my favourite series of all time! And epic historical romance set in Russia and America spanning from 1940s to present time! Simply amazing!!! I do have my little system of bookmarking the book, for example each color represents different theme or things I love about the story; I also bookmark the important dates and locations on top too. I am very proud of this (I do have people ask me whether I will sell my copy to them)! Do you mark your books? What books are in this stack?  This post is less about the books and more about what I've used to mark favorite quotes or passages. I also find it helpful to have things marked for #buddyread or #readalong discussions. So let's talk about the different things I've used - I'd like to call it #chooseyourmark Paper post-it flag ✔️Pros: inexpensive, colorful Cons: wear and tear when reshelving These are nice and colorful (no color coding I just use what I have) but when the book makes it back to the shelf, well, they get a little smashed.  But does that add to the books character? I'll let you be the judge on that. Small Post-it Refill Flag ✔️Pros: small, discreet size Cons: can't find in store At one point in time I had these pen, highlighter, page flag pens and I LOVED them.  Sometimes I'd need to highlight (during the college years) my notes (because let's face it you can mark a book but I'd need to sell it to pay for the next semester books) so the post-it flags were my EVERYTHING because they were small and discreet. I found them again as refills on Amazon (post it flags only) and started to use them again. Book darts ✔️Pros: small and barely visible ✔️Easy to use ✔️Can move & reuse ✔️doesn't tear or damage page Cons: none so far  A few months ago @_the_bookish_blonde shared book darts in her story and I went to Amazon and IMMEDIATELY ordered some.  I REALLY like these because as you move to the left side of this stack of books, you see they are almost invisible and don't hang out like my post-it flags. Do you have a favourite bookmark? I have many that I have collected since I started reading but these are probably my favourite. The one on the far right is from the National Gallery in London and is so old now, because I got it in Primary School, which is why it’s so faded and the Star Wars one I cross stitched this weekend, and am very happy with how it turned out, I also made the one on the left, and the black and white one a friend made for me. A bookmark is such a lovely gift ☺️ #bookmarks
